Roaming Times: 10 reasons to RV

10. People tell Roaming Times they just like being in an RV. The family can be together and people just think it's fun!
9. RVing is good for the environment (See RoTi article)
8. RVing vacations are the least expensive (See RoTi article)
7. The bathroom is always clean (or, if it isn't, at least you know why)
6. Less hassle. No flights to catch, no lines to stand in. Travel is easier
5. You can sleep in your own bed. Most people tell Roaming Times they prefer this to sleeping in a hotel bed
4. Eating better. Often people who go RVing take the time to make themselves a better meal. The need or temptation for junk food is less
3. Exercise. Many people tell Roaming Times that they tend to walk more, hike or bike more. Even if it's just walking the dog, people on vacation get out and about more
2. Less stress. Freedom and the feeling of getting away from it all helps reduce stress levels
1. FREEDOM. Go where you want, when you want. In every Roaming Times poll over the years this has always been the number one reason

What do you think?

Ross P Travel vacations are very different now from when I was a child. We didn't have any. The best difference is the ability of a family to buy an RV and take everyone to different places, places they would never go if they had to stay in an hotel. Wonderful for the family and very educational for the kids.
Mark I tend to agree with all of this.
I'd rather sleep on my sheets instead those of Bob, Carol, Ted and Alice at the hotels. However, to get a true cost, you have to factor in the cost of the RV if you're still making payments, insurance, wear tear, fuel, etc.
Ruth 43 The whole point of having an rv for us is to have our own place to escape to whenever we want. Freedom is the main thing, go when you want.

Small IS planet friendly!! I don't understand why everyone doesn't agree. I lived in Atlanta for 58 years and it just got bigger and everything got worse. The roads the pollution the water. I bought a 26' motor home and now I live where I want and how I want. I don't regret getting rid of anything and my life is better than ever.
Lydia I cannot agree with this enough.
I love the freedom, convenience and comfort. It is better than having a country cottage or a weekend home as a get-away.

FREEDOM OF CHOICE is the number one reason we love full time RVing! Our motorhome is our "home on wheels." We agree think that campgrounds weren't just invented for people who couldn't afford hotels, they are for people who like the more natural and relaxed way of traveling.

We're already retired and we love being fulltimers. Can't think of anything we'd rather be doing. The thing we like most is seeing different parts of this beautiful country. The thing we like least is diesel fuel prices!
